67% are not aware that Ireland’s agriculture sector is the largest source of pollution that causes climate change

Recent statistics show that while an average of 85% of Irish adults are worried about climate change, 67% are not aware that Ireland’s agriculture sector is the largest source of pollution that causes climate change (EPA Climate Change in the Irish Mind Climate Opinion Maps).

Despite industry attempts to conceal the harm caused by animal use, the public have a right to accurate information on the consequences of their choices. They also have the right to education on their potential to have an immense impact to avert disaster if they become vegan.

Go Vegan World’s campaigns on animal rights, speciesism, animal sentience, climate change and the environment, aim to fill the gap in public education so that more members of the public have information they are entitled to.

Even if someone is not interested in their moral duty to other animals, if they are concerned at all about the environment and climate change, the statistics supporting the transition to a plant based diet  are very convincing. We showcase these statistics in our current campaign. They should be motivation for environmentalists to research the consequences of animal agriculture and join animal rights activists in promoting a vegan diet.

Go Vegan World’s work shines a light on an industry that hides in the dark.
